Lt. Col. Christoper W. Sanders

U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center Military Deputy

LTC Christopher Sanders is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 2008.

He served with the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 4th BCT, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA where he served as a rifle platoon leader, scout platoon leader and battalion assistant operations officer.

LTC Sanders deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. He was then assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Fort Wainwright, AK, where he served as battalion assistant operations officer and the commander of Charlie Company. LTC Sanders then took command of HHC, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment.

After joining the Army Acquisition Corps, he served as the Assistant Product Manager for the Troposcatter Transmission System for PEO C3T and as the Air Systems Branch Chief for the Robotics Requirements Division at MCDID, Fort Benning, GA. He then served as an Assistant Product Manager AN/TPY-2 Program at the Missile Defense Agency.

LTC Sanders is a graduate of Duke University with a Master Degree in Environmental Management, the Command and General Staff Officer Course, the Army Acquisition Professionals Course, the Maneuver Captain’s

Career Course, the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, the Asymmetric Warfare Adaptive Leader Course, the Cold Weather Leaders Course, the Mechanized Leaders Course, Air Assault School and Ranger School.

LTC Sanders’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (w/2OLC), the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (w/OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Campaign stars), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Ranger Tab, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Air Assault Badge and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

LTC Sanders is married to the former Meredith Nell of Greenville, SC and they have three sons, Jack, Wade, and Sam.
