Customer-centric innovation with modern SPDS.

We adapt industry proven agile best practices to software solutions spanning project types from embedded airworthiness to web-based business applications.

THE PROBLEM

Continuous Software Development

Software is a major component of Army modernization, but traditional project management approaches do not work with the iterative continuous nature of software development. DoD 5000.87 directs a new approach to software acquisition embracing industry proven agile principles and DevSecOps best practices.

Proven industry approaches to agile development provide a roadmap. However, Cyber, Safety, and Airworthiness historically drive waterfall approaches preventing teams from gaining the full benefit of agile best practices.

THE ANSWER

SPDS

AvMC's SPDS uses a comprehensive approach to product development. Our agile advocates train and support our teams to focus on mission value. A directed effort on mission value from inception to fielding with an emphasis on including the customer as an integral part of the solution. AvMC applies tailored processes to suit the needs of the products being developed while pulling in Cyber, Safety, and Air Worthiness into the iterative agile process. Similarly, our digital engineering workspace enables collaboration with customer and cross-functional stakeholders creating an integrated team approach all working towards a unified deployable deliverable.
